Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is working on completing formalities to invite tenders for initiating development work in Sector C-16, a new source reported on April 26. The sector is located at the foothills of Margalla Hills along the recently constructed Margalla Road.

CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal stated that the revised layout plan for Sector C-16 was approved by the CDA Board last week. The pre-qualification notices for the construction firms have been published to ensure there is no hurdle to start the development work. It was also revealed that the engineering wing has prepared a complete timeline for the development of the said sector.
The CDA chief also mentioned that the civic authority has settled the issues regarding planning and survey of the sector. The sector features 2,500 residential plots, a markaz and shopping centres.

In another development, the CDA Enforcement Wing and the Land Directorate launched an anti-encroachment drive in C-16 sector to remove illegal settlements and constructions.
