Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Enforcement Directorate took action against illegal sheds erected by the owners of six bus stands on Thursday by demolishing them, according to a news report.
The CDA authorities brought excavators of the Machine Pool Organisation (MPO) to tear down the illegal encroachments. This operation was undertaken with the assistance of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), along with the Islamabad Police. Despite some hurdles, the operation was completed. For the past six months, on the orders of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), many operations have been taking place against illegal bus stands. In the previous week, these operations had been undertaken with the backup of Rangers and Islamabad Police.
