Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed on Saturday (November 20) directed authorities to replace Sector F-7 Markaz old streetlights with the latest LED lights, news sources reported. The chairman met with the traders and business people in presence of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Shakeel Munir.

Moreover, the chairman formed a committee consisting of traders and CDA officials to address outstanding issues with business activities and parking. The chairman stated that the authority will do all in its power to help traders and address their concerns to encourage trade in the city. In another development, Sector I-12 allottees met with CDA chairman to discuss the delay in development work and the slow pace of work in the sector. The inhabitants and allottees requested that the chairman hasten the project’s development and halt city waste dumping in the area.

Chairman Amir said that the authority will issue a tender in the first week of December and development work in Sector I-12 will resume in January 2022. He further assured the delegates that the dumping of garbage will be discouraged and will be shifted to other landfill sites.
