Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) have started work on the renovation of public parks and green areas in all sectors of the federal capital, according to a news source. Assistance was extended from residents and local union councils for the renovation of parks, which has been initiated under the Clean and Green Islamabad Project.
According to MCI’s Environment Director General Sana Ullah Aman, the renovation of I-8’s Kachnar Park will be completed during this week, while that of I-9’s Central Park will be finished in the last week of December. All machinery and staff is already present on site. The CDA is currently planting more trees and removing wild bushes on the directives of the MCI Chairman.
