Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated the process to approve building plans of the upcoming commercial and residential buildings in housing societies, according to a news report. So far, the managing bodies of 54 housing societies in Zone 2, 4, and 5 have submitted affidavits to the CDA.
The affidavits bound the developers to submit building plans of the upcoming commercial and residential developments in their respective societies before the CDA Building Control Section-2 for formal approval.
Furthermore, building bylaws will be enacted strictly on housing societies. The decision came from an eight-member committee headed by Member Estate has been constituted to propose conversions in existing Building and Zoning Regulations, to meet present day needs. This committee includes various other dignitaries.
