Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday (March 3) opened bids received for initiating civil works in Sector E-12/4, according to media sources.

As per the details, the authority received the lowest bid of PKR 289.805 million. It was disclosed that a total of five contractors participated in the bidding process. The development works that expected to be started soon include water supply, construction of connecting roads including main highways, drainage system, installation of street lights, sewerage network, and other uplift works.
Reportedly, the development work has been delayed for a long time in some sectors of Islamabad. Now, with the efforts of CDA management, the uplift work is commencing in all the sectors.

In another development, the CDA board approved the allocation of land for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and two universities in Islamabad.
