Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced its plan to introduce its e-filing system to its finance and law divisions — with this initiative following the authority’s previous decision to introduce the system to its administration and human resource wings, according to a news source published on August 17.

The official statement from the CDA stated that the e-filing system is being introduced to its law and finance wings after the authority had already shifted the operations of its administration and human resource development directorates to the digital system — with this move being part of a pilot project launched back in April.

Furthermore, the press release said that shifting to a computerised filing system from manual files was a part of the CDA’s strategy to promote transparency, austerity, security and speed in its day to day operations.
CDA spokesperson Mazhar Hussain said that once the e-filing system was operational in these two wings, it would be further expanded to other directorates as well. He said that the land directorate would also be shifted online during the next phase — with this move a part of the preventive measures against fraudulent allotments.
