Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that it has completed some 90% of the earthwork on the 350 kanals of land recently retrieved in Sector E-12, according to news published on July 05.

The authority Spokesperson stated on Monday that the excavation work for the underground water supply including the installation of sewerage infrastructure and other facilities is currently underway at a rapid pace.
It was highlighted that the CDA is taking special measures to execute development work in the stalled sectors to meet the housing needs of the city. The CDA spokesperson also revealed that the 22% earthwork on the 1.75-kilometre-long road network in Sector I-12/2 was completed. He went on to assure that that after the completion of earthwork, other development activities will also commence.

Moreover, the CDA has issued instructions for the concerned departments to complete the development works in their respective areas to enable the allottees to build houses at the earliest. As per the source, after the completion of the development work, as many as 6,000 allottees in Sector I-12 and over 3,000 allottees in Sector E-12 can finally construct their houses.
