Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the launch of digital E-Registry and property transfer services in Islamabad, as reported by a source on June 1.

According to the details, this initiative; starting from August 14, 2024, aims to streamline real estate transactions, reduce paperwork, and lower administrative involvement, ensuring a transparent process for residents.
The announcement was made by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa during a meeting attended by relevant department representatives. The project includes scanning and indexing documents within two months, digitising maps, and updating historical records to prevent fraud and forgery.

Property records will be linked to the NADRA system and accessible to the public, with GIS mapping utilised for better property visualisation. The digitalisation effort is expected to benefit overseas Pakistanis by allowing them to verify property statuses before transactions.
