As per the details, the construction work on the interchange is underway in full swing. So far, more than 50% work of the project is completed. According to a CDA official (whose name was not disclosed), despite the delay in the construction due to the visit of the Australian team last month, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) delegation, the work is progressing at the right pace. The work is expected to be completed by October as per the schedule.

Reportedly, the work on the bridge is completed while the underpass is being constructed. After this, the National Logistics Cell (NLC) – the executing agency – will start work on slip roads. It is pertinent to note that the interchange will be a cloverleaf, with four right and left loops. The project features an underpass that will link both parts of Khayaban-i-Suhrwardi.
