Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to free Right of Way of Kashmir Highway off of illegal settlements and land encroachers, according to a news source. The operation is being carried out according to directive of Islamabad High Court.
For clearing purposes, the CDA has sought help from Rangers, local police, Anti-Terrorism Squad, Riot Police and the city district administration.
The operation was to start on 20th March 2018, but has been delayed because various stakeholders have also been added to the force. Deputy Commissioner Office and IGP office have requested the CDA to postpone the operation after 23rd March Pakistan Day Parade.
