Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has stated that the construction work of the Burma Bridge on Lehtrar Road is underway despite the foggy and cold weather conditions in the capital city. The civic agency further stated that it was all set to meet the project’s completion deadline, according to news sources.
The department also issued instructions for effective monitoring of the project to ensure quality and timely completion of the project. The Burma Bridge project has already undergone the load test and results have been sent to the consultant for load piles’ final designs for the bridge.

The consultants are expected to respond soon, after which embedment and pile lowering work will be launched. The girders have been completed and work on the pier columns has commenced. The protection detail to secure the bridge from the nullah flow is also ongoing at the same time.
