The notification was served for flouting the building by-laws during the construction of high-rise buildings in the sector. The issuance of notices is a part of the anti-encroachment drive by the CDA against illegal real estate projects in the capital city. The orders in this regard, came directly from the federal government. Responding to the directives, the authority has registered FIRs against the project developers of residential and commercial buildings for violating the building codes and not taking specific safety measures while constructing the basements.
Moreover, the sources stated that the authorities have directed the CDA’s Building Control Authority to follow the master plan of the city and ensure that all construction work is executed in accordance with the regulations.
