Islamabad: The Building Control Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has despatched legal notices to six private (vertical) residential building developers with projects in Sector F-11 regarding building by-laws violations – according to news sources.

The official statement released notifies the CDA’s claim that the owners of the specified residential projects in Sector F-11 have – in clear violation of the authority’s building bylaws – constructed residential flat units in their constructions’ basements. As per the CDA building regulation concerned, project basements are reserved for parking purposes.

Recently, the building directorate of the civic agency held a survey aimed at compiling the data of the commercial structures located in its jurisdiction. Upon identification of these violations, the authority took action in Sector F-11 and served notices to their owners; who are directed to immediately check these violations and covert their basement flats into parking spaces.
