Islamabad: The Building Control Section (BCS) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed a number of multi-storey buildings in Sector E-11, found in violation of building bylaws, stated a news report. This operation was conducted by the BCS officials with the help of Islamabad Capital Territory officials, as well the local police.
The BCS-II team sealed four buildings, a swimming pool, and a factory. Unauthorised and illegal construction was ongoing in the sector E-II despite repeated warnings by the CDA. According to sources, the CDA has decided to arrest building owners as the illegal structures were found in violation of the ICT Zoning Regulations 1992. The CDA said that various illegal structures in the form of multi-storey buildings are constructed without prior approval from the CDA and are therefore unauthorised and unlawful.
