Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed visited the under-construction metro bus stations of Green and Blue Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to review the progress, according to news published on June 24.

As per the details, the chairman visited the Green Line stations located in the vicinity of Bhara Kahu and PIMS, and the Koral bus station of Blue Line BRT. He was notified that the Bhara Kahu station will be completed within a month whereas Koral and Pims stations will be completed soon. CDA Chairman Ahmed directed the authorities concerned to expedite the pace of work and ensure the quality of work.
Moreover, the authority will be launching the bus service within two months on existing roads in ‘mix traffic’. The government has reserved Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) funds for designated corridors of the bus services in the fiscal year 2022-23.

Reportedly, the government has allocated PKR 1,000 million for Blue Line BRT and PKR 500 million for Green Line BRT in the upcoming financial year.
