Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday retrieved 350 kanals of state land situated in Chatha Bakhtawar, a news source reported. As per officials, the authority reclaimed the land during an anti-encroachment operations conducted in collaboration with Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and the Islamabad Police.

Heavy machinery was used to demolish several illegally constructed structures; including 45 rooms, 55 boundary walls and 10 animal sheds.
The CDA also carried out similar operations in various areas of the capital city. During an operation in Sector F-6, four security cabins and six generators were removed from pathways. An illegally constructed boundary wall was demolished in Sector G-8 while three car porches were removed from Sector G-10. Illegally built rooms and an animal shelter were removed from Sectors I-10 and I-14, respectively.

Moreover, a hotel which was under construction on GT Road was demolished. Operations on Kuri Road and Islamabad Expressway removed many vendors from the areas. Two trucks of encroachment material was seized and brought to CDA storage.
