Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to construct a multi-purpose sports complex in Shah Allah Ditta, according to a news published in the leading newspaper on April 26. The civic authority will also restore the ancient trail of Alexander the Great, which connects Shah Allah Ditta with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) up to the limits of Islamabad.

The restoration of this route will promote tourism and preserve the cultural heritage of the area. Also, the authority has plans to restore Trail 8 and construct a new trail from the Eight Buddha Caves to the Buddha Stupa.

The Sports Enclave will feature different sports facilities including rock climbing, cricket, volleyball, and zipline. CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal stated that the sports enclave will promote sports and recreational activities among the residents and provide them with world-class facilities. It will be constructed on CDA’s 300-kanal land allocated for health and environmental activities.
