Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to repair the old Murree Road under the flyover portion of the Bhara Kahu bypass in order to ensure smooth traffic movement for Eid-ul-Fitr, according to news published on April 17.

CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal has directed the engineering wing to repair the dilapidated and uneven 1-kilometre-long section of the old Murree Road (beneath the flyover portion of the bypass). He has revealed that transom work has been completed. While visiting the project site, he ordered the relevant authorities to remove shuttering and other material on the road to ensure smooth traffic flow.

The news source mentioned that the portion of the road linking Malpur with Jhugi Stop has been completed but the city managers have yet to decide if the road will open to traffic by Eid. The news source mentioned that the flyover portion of the project will be completed within the next two months.
