Reportedly, last year, the capital city administration awarded the contracts for the development work in two sub-sectors of E-12 for the construction of streets, sewerage, roads, water supply network, and drainage. However, the civic agency failed to complete the work in one year due to the resistance from the locals.
As per the details, 11% of work is completed in sub-sector 2 whereas 17% of work is finished in sub-sector 3. According to a CDA engineer, the authority has ordered to complete the development as soon as possible. Moreover, the tendering process of awarding work in sub-sector 4 is in the final stages. The engineer stated that development work will start soon. It was disclosed that the same will be done for sub-sector 1.

It is pertinent to mention that over 4,000 people have been waiting for possession of plots in the E-12 sector; unfortunately, the dispute between villagers and CDA has prevented it. The CDA’s Land and Estate Wing has so far allotted 282 plots through National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The allotment letters will be issued soon to get the possession of the whole sector.
