Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has once again banned all instances of residential and commercial construction – including that of private housing schemes – in Sector H-13, Zone 1, of the capital city, a news source reported.
To facilitate this measure, CDA’s Enforcement Directorate has written a letter to the departments concerned. It has requested these organisations to bar gas, water, electricity and other utility supplies in Sector H-13.

Zone 1 is a designated green area and a buffer zone, which is why CDA has banned buying and selling activities with respect to residential plots. Non-compliance to this effect will be considered as a violation of the Islamabad Master Plan.
Reportedly, the authority plans to acquire the said zone. Any decision to develop it will be made in the future. The CDA said that the covered area of each house already constructed should not exceed 1,000 square feet.
Hi I am Abdul Rauf from Islamabad. I want to share some of my views about pending sectors of Islamabad. As per history record Islamabad was declared as capital of Pakistan in 1960 and a master plan was prepared comprising of 5 Zones. In the beginning everything was ok and many residential sectors were built in a proper way but after the government of Gen Zia ul Haq civil government started un-necessary interference in govt departments. Same happens with CDA. As result working environment hampered and delayed on many occasions. After 1998 work of building sectors was also given to private sectors on political basis. Many greedy real state agents emerged and looted people in many places by different means. In some sectors like G-12, G-14 & G-16 local people also deny to give their land for building of sectors on govt rate. Another pending sector is H-13 which lies in the zone initially selected for educational institutes (Adjacent to NUST University H-12). Property dealers of that sector claims that it has been abandoned by CDA by order of Court but when asked about any evidence they can show nothing. People are still purchasing plots and homes in H-13 without watching to any of its legal status and per Marla rate of land is increasing day by day. In my opinion CDA Authorizes should declare a clear status of H-13 and all other sectors like this.
Thanks
