Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed recently announced the civic agency’s decision to reduce charges on the construction of additional storeys in all city markets by 50%, a news source reported on August 22.

The CDA chairman revealed this information while meeting with a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI). He highlighted that the decision to reduce the charges on additional storeys comes as part of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s instructions for promoting construction activities across the country. He added that reducing the charges by 50% would boost business activities in Islamabad.

Apart from reducing the charges on construction of more storeys, Ahmed said that CDA would carry out development works in various markets. He added that the project would cost PKR 250 million and start within a month. He further revealed that the development works would include the repairing of footpaths and carpeting of roads in the markets.
