As per the details, the CDA Chairman, Captain (R) Muhammad Usman Younis, shared the news via his official Twitter handle. He urged commuters to use the newly opened signal-free underpass while coming and going to Park Road from Murree Road.
The underpass is a part of the Rawal Dam Interchange project. The project includes the construction of Rawal Dam Flyover (which links traffic to and from the Pak Secretariat), several slip roads, an underpass, an overhead bridge, and Margalla Town Underpass.

The project was to be completed earlier this year, but it was delayed since its contract was reassigned to Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). The delay was also caused partially due to a rise in the cost of construction materials.
