Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to launch an online approval system for building plans starting September 1, according to a news article published on August 20.

As per the details, this initiative aims to eliminate corruption and reduce delays within the Building Control Section. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting to finalise the online process, which will allow applicants to submit and track the status of their building plans without visiting CDA offices.

The CDA also plans to launch an application offering various online services. While the initiative has been welcomed, there are concerns about whether it will effectively change the long-standing mindset of CDA employees known for causing delays.
