Islamabad: In order to grant legal status to over 40 housing societies in Zone IV’s Sub-zone C, the Capital Development Authority has prepared new standard operation procedures (SOPs), reported a news source. For formal approval, a summary has been sent to the Ministry of Capital Administration & Development Division.
In this zone, the percentage of privately owned land is high and to regulate it, the CDA has made amendments in its SOPs. Back in 2010, the Cabinet placed a ban on construction activities in Zone IV, after which the CDA was instructed to prepare new SOPs for Zone III and Zone IV. However, the CDA only prepared SOPs for Zone IV.
