Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed has decided to plant 300,000 saplings in the city under the monsoon plantation drive to improve greenery, according to new sources.

A review meeting for the monsoon plantation drive was presided over by CDA Chairman Aamir Ali. He stated that the trees must be six feet tall. The directors of the environment wing mentioned the plan during the meeting.
Furthermore, the directors reported that teams had been assigned to beautify Islamabad’s highways, roadside slopes, green belts, and intersections. In addition, the agency has designated areas for sapling plantations. Park Enclave, Srinagar Highway, Islamabad Highway, Fatimah Jinnah Park, 9th Avenue, 10th Avenue, 11th Avenue, Diplomatic Enclave, Margalla Hills National Park, and Margalla Road are all part of the site.

Aside from that, the CDA chairman directed that educational institutions be included in the campaign. The agency will set up stations across the city to engage residents in the planting push.
