Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to stop commercial activities in the residential zones
of the Federal Capital.
According to a news source, the civic body has prepared a list of 250 houses where commercial activities are being
undertaken. Notices to these houses will be issued next week. High-end beauty parlours, furniture and carpets showrooms, boutiques, guest houses, non-government and even government organisations are reportedly operating in the residential areas of Islamabad.
“The list of houses used for commercial activities will be discussed with the CDA chairman to get his approval. The civic body will dispatch notices on Monday,” a CDA official told the news agency.
