Islamabad- As recommended by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the CDA (Capital Development Authority) is working on Rs. 12 billion ‘Dream Project’ to build a twin capital near Margala Hills. Old and new Islamabad are planned to be connected through a tunnel.
The project will portray a picture of Sheikh Zayed Avenue in Dubai. Included in this project are also the development of a ring road between Islamabad and Rawalpindi and a new airport in Rawat region.
The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif suggested Chairman CDA to work on the project on emergency basis so that the project could be started shortly. The highway from Blue Rea of Islamabad to Rawat will be expanded to about 10 lanes. There will be commercial buildings at both sides of highway just like Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
