Islamabad – The CDA (Capital Development Authority) has conducted a detailed survey to gather information about the slums in the capital. The authority has decided to demolish at least a dozen Kachi Abadis. However, in this regard, no compensation or resettlement plan has been introduced by the CDA.
Notices to vacate the houses have been issued to slum dwellers in various sectors including F-6, F-7/4, G-7/1, G- 7/2, G-7/3 and G-8/1. For carrying out grand operation against the slum dwellers, the Capital Development Authority has also asked for assistance from FIA (Federal Investigation Agency), SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines) and IESCO (Islamabad Electric Supply Company).
