As per the details, the decision to discontinue the allocation of plots in favour of cash compensation stems from past controversies and delays in land acquisitions, and the CDA Chairman Anwarul Haq confirmed this shift in policy during an interview. He emphasized that the new approach would be presented to the board for final approval, specifying that it would only be applicable to future acquisitions.
