Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to construct two more parking plazas in the capital city, according to news published in the leading newspaper on May 12. The authority will call for tenders for awarding the project in three days to initiate the construction of parking plazas.

CDA Director Work Tahir Mahmood has directed the officials to start construction on two more parking plazas in Islamabad. He disclosed that one parking plaza will be located in I-8 Markaz while the other one in F-8. The design of four parking plazas has been completed and soon its location will be decided, he added.

As per the details, the work on the Blue Area parking plaza, worth PKR 1.3 billion, is in progress. The said project encompasses a basement plus ground and six storeys with the capacity to accommodate 900 cars and 150 motorcycles. It is being constructed near Savour Foods. The parking plaza was supposed to be completed in March this year, but will not be completed by September 3
