Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmad inaugurated a new park in Sector G-10/4 as part of an ongoing effort to make the capital greener, news sources reported on March 14. The new park is named ‘Hill Park’ due to its location near Margalla Hills.

As per the news, the park is a continuation of the CDA effects to make the capital city greener and environment friendly. On the occasion, Chairman Amir said that the authority would enhance the forest cover of the capital during the current year’s tree plantation drive. He said a total of 300,000 plants would be planted this spring season. He also kicked off the plantation drive by planting trees at the newly inaugurated park. On this occasion, 500 plants were plated in the park. Chairman Amir directed park officials to guarantee that all civic facilities, including proper lighting, pathways, jogging tracks, benches, and children’s swings, are open to visitors.

The CDA has recently promised numerous parks, including a giant ferris wheel (a possible replica of the London Eye), for the capital city to attract tourists.
