Islamabad: The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has ordered the urgent resolution of Built-Up Property (BUP) issues within CDA sectors to accelerate development efforts in Islamabad. The news was reported by a source on October 22.
As per details, chairman Randhawa stressed the importance of expediting developmental projects across all sectors. He directed the Engineering and Estate Wings to work closely to ensure smooth and timely execution of ongoing initiatives, highlighting the necessity for rapid resolution of any challenges that could impede progress. Randhawa committed to personally visiting the sectors to oversee issue resolution and promote faster development.
The meeting provided significant updates on several key sectors. It was reported that approximately 68 percent of the development work has been completed in Sector C-14, with construction of culverts currently in progress, enhancing the area’s infrastructure.
In Sector C-15, the need to resolve possession issues promptly was a major topic of discussion, with the chairman directing that remaining BUP-related issues be prioritized to facilitate continued development. Meanwhile, most major development work in Sector C-16 is complete, with only a few streets remaining for finalization, positioning the sector for upcoming residential needs. Development is also actively underway in Sector E-12, with 65 percent completion in sub-sector E-12/1. Randhawa instructed the Estate Wing to expedite the acquisition of remaining land to allow the Engineering Wing to proceed with tendering for outstanding tasks.
Chairman Randhawa further directed that possession of plots in sectors where development has been completed should be handed over without delay. This directive is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted progress and enhancing the living standards of Islamabad’s residents. The CDA’s proactive measures and commitment to resolving BUP issues underscore its dedication to creating a well-developed and efficient urban environment in the capital.
