Islamabad: CDA has demolished dozens of illegal structures and removed encroachments on government land in Islamabad, according to a news report. Yesterday, in an operation in H-10, 12 rooms were demolished and public land repossessed.
In a similar operation in I-11/4 near the vegetable market, three roadside eateries and three rooms were demolished. An illegal structure was also removed from green-belt in H-8, and CDA staff also conducted an anti-encroachment operation in F-6 near Park Road. Action was also taken against two trucks in an operation on several roads of Islamabad. Motorway Police officers, headed by Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Ayub, took part in the operation.
