During the last two days, the officials sealed 16 premises found in violation of the ICT Building & Zoning Regulations 2005. These included one residential house, commercial buildings, and a site office of a contractor.
The owners of these buildings had several issues. They failed to obtain approvals for their building plans, comply with rules regarding the construction of their structures, and had been unable to remove other violations from their premises either; despite the several warnings and deadlines provided by the development authority.

This particular operation is a continuation of the CDA’s efforts towards implementing building by-laws and controlling haphazard constructions located on the outskirts of Islamabad – particularly housing societies falling within the city’s territorial limits. The Enforcement Directorate has continued its anti-encroachment drive in several sectors of the city.
