Islamabad: In an ongoing operation against structures violating Islamabad Building and Zoning Regulations 2005, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday sealed 13 commercial buildings situated in Zone II and Zone V, according to news source.
A team consisitng of officials from CDA’s Building Control Directorate–II, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, the civic agency’s Enforcement Directorate, city police and other departments concerned carried out this operation in Zone II and V.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate also conducted an anti-encroachment operation at the green belt of IJ Principal Road from Sector I-10 to Carriage Factory boundary Sector I-11 and eliminated 275 shops constructed illegally over the green belt. The recovered area was handed over to the Environment staff of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) for plantation of saplings, and with instructions to remain vigilant to the mushrooming of encroachments.

Moreover, one temporary house, one hotel and one mechanic shop were also dismantled in the F-11 Markaz and a building material depot located in Sector G-11/1 was also eliminated.
