Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has notified approving 30 building plans in four meeting sessions of the Design Vetting Committee conducted since April — with this initiative having been geared to promote activity in the city’s construction sector, a news source reported on September 13.

The first of these meeting was held on April 30, during which nine buildings plans were approved; in the second meeting held on July 9, another nine plans were approved; in the third meeting held on August 25, two building plans were approved; and in the fourth meeting held on September 1, eight building plans were approved.
Aside from approving building plans in CDA-sectors in Islamabad, the authority is also approving buildings plans outside the sectors — including the city’s private housing schemes.

The approved buildings are going to be constructed in I-8 Markaz, D-12 Markaz, Blue Area, G-7 Markaz, H-11/2 and G-11 Markaz. Among the private housing schemes, the development of new buildings have been approved for the following: Multi Professional Housing Scheme (MPCHS), Gulberg Greens, Bahria Town, Simly Dam, and the OPF Housing Scheme.
