Earlier, a summary had been submitted before the CDA Board requesting for a contraction of the buffer zone so that the university could commence with construction in the area. The CDA had deferred the final decision until its scheduled meeting with IIUI Rector Dr Masoon Yasinzai; following which it was decided that the Machinery Poll Organisation (MPO) directorate and an asphalt plant located within the vicinity of the university would be moved to a difference location within 15 days after the identification of a suitable land area.
