Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to convert Pir Sohawa into a tourist spot in a bid to reduce the existing burden on Murree, according to a news report published on December 06.

To this effect, a number of restaurants and hotels will be established to attract national and international tourists in Pir Sohawa. CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari expressed their views on the matter during a visit to Pir Sohawa.

The CDA chairman also issued instructions for several directorates to establish more hotels and restaurants for the tourists. He also issued directives to ensure special attention on cleanliness of the area and increase the number of sanitation workers. He opined that it was the civic agency’s responsibility to look after greens in the area and ensure its cleanliness.
