Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted an operation against unapproved and non-conforming usage of land for construction, in collaboration with the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, according to the news sources.

The Staff of Building Control Section, Enforcement Directorate, ICT administration, and police officials were present for this operation in Sector I-12. An apartment project was sealed, along with its contractors’ side offices. The source reports that the stakeholders of these projects were given several notices to get the building plans approved. However, the authority was moved to this action due to their noncompliance. Similarly, three apartments were also sealed in F-11 Markaz due to non-conforming use.

The CDA officials conducted the anti-encroachment drive in different parts of the city. The task team, during its operation in sector G-10/3, demolished structures between Block No. 66-C and 68-C. The encroachments on these streets were hindering the public’s daily activities.
