Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has responded to the challenges of rapid urbanisation and private housing society proliferation by establishing a new wing, ‘the Directorate of Regulation, Re-planning, and Regeneration’. As disclosed in the details, this initiative, endorsed by the CDA, aims to manage urban expansion more effectively and sustainably in the capital city. Under the supervision of the Member Planning and Development, this Directorate will streamline the development process of private societies.
To enhance its operations, the CDA has approved the appointment of a Planning Officer for grade 19. This decision aligns with recommendations from the Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice, reflecting the CDA’s proactive approach to addressing urban complexities.
