Owing to the fact that LRT systems are known for their high-capacity public transport, CDA officials envision a scenario where the Chinese company lays the tracks and independently operates the LRT system. Their current focus is on two specific LRT routes: one along the Islamabad Expressway and another from the new airport to H-8. Notably, a pre-existing railway track from H-8 to Golra could potentially be used for the LRT, offering cost-effective infrastructure.
