Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated road infrastructure rehabilitation work in the Farash Model Urban Shelter Project, according to a news report published on Sunday (June 28).

The project will be the first uplift scheme in the area after two years. As per the official CDA administration’s statement, the authority is working on an inclusive approach that involves the development of all residential areas in the capital city. Moreover, the developmental work will not discriminate between residents based on their income.
The statement read that the rehabilitation project in Farash Model Urban Shelter Project, is being conducted in continuation of the authority’s strategy to improve the facilities in the city’s low-cost housing projects.

In the first phase, the rehabilitation of roads one, two, three and four will be executed. To this effect, Triple Surface Treatment of the said streets will be carried out and a drainage system will be provided in Farash Town. The contractors have launched the preliminary work. The authority also aims to provide streetlights, sewerage system and other missing amenities in the area.
