The meeting will discuss the project’s scope and the implementation of new technology to save trees during the expansion. As per the sources, the CDA has decided to remove and relocate trees on the proposed land to another site to maintain tree cover and reduce the carbon footprint of the project. The authority is working to preserve the tress under the direction of the federal government. According to Project Concept-1 (PC-1), the civic agency intends to widen Kurri Road in order to connect it to Simly Dam Road and serve as an alternative to Murree Road.

It is important to note that the CDA is also working on the development of a new master plan for Islamabad to manage the ongoing surge in population. The authority has already formed a commission for zoning and bylaw regulation and revision to better manage land-related resources and to regularise housing societies.
