Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has shared the details on the bids received for the planned expansion of the Kurang Road, according to a news report published today (September 16). This road stretches between Margalla Town Phases I and II – connecting the two.

Over 11 firms participated in the bidding process for Kurang Road, with an NIT of PKR 80.04 million. The lowest bid was PKR 48.04 million – 39% below the estimated cost – making it the winning bid.

Moreover, the relevant authorities have been instructed to complete all legal formalities in this regard on a priority basis so that the project’s construction process can timely begin. The process would include widening the road, carrying out the electrical and mechanical work, and soft landscaping. In addition to this, the company would also be installing three culverts – all within a timeframe of six months.
