Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is contemplating to focus on the development of its existing sectors instead of acquiring land for any new developments, a news source reported. As per several CDA sources, the authority also plans to share this development with the federal government; provided it takes a formal decision in this regard.

Reportedly, the CDA is not inclined to purchase land for the development of new sectors, as it is yet to complete 15 sectors for which land was acquired several decades ago. For the moment, the CDA is reportedly keen on playing a supervisory role to ensure that people construct their properties in accordance with its set building bylaws.
According to CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali, the authority is all set to focus on its stalled sectors; which include I-14, I-15 and E-12.
