Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated PKR 100.2 million for the construction of jogging tracks across the capital city, news sources reported on June 17. The jogging track will be built by the authority along with the development of parks and the plantation of trees.

Reportedly, the jogging tracks will be built on the green belts along major roads in the city. The following jogging tracks have been planned for the project:
- From Luqman Hakim Road (West) to Sector G-7/1 and 2 along Faisal Avenue’s green belt
- Along Sector G-6/2 (North) to the Fazl-e-Haq Road green belt
- Another will be built on G-6/3 (North) and the adjacent Fazl-e-Haq Road
- One track is in progress in Sector F-7/4 along Parbat Road and Sector F-5, Punjab House

Moreover, the authorities will also install benches along the jogging track, and new greenbelts with plants will be developed to make them greener. Furthermore, CDA has asked its environmental wing for plantation drives to maintain the healthy environment of the city
