Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued official warnings to owners of residential properties being used for commercial purposes and has promised strict action against violators who do not mend their ways immediately.
According to a news source, many residential properties are being used as boutiques, clinics, restaurants, schools, offices, and showrooms in the federal capital even though this is a clear violation of the Islamabad Residential Sectors Zoning Regulations 2005 and the CDA Ordinance 1960.
The authority has clearly stated that violators should consider this a ‘last warning’. If this incorrect usage continues, properties will be sealed and heavy fines will be imposed.
