Islamabad: The Law Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday launched a news automated case management software, a news source reported. As per the publication, the Law Wing shared the details of the said automated system – designed to increase the efficiency of the department.

The Law Wing representatives delivered a presentation and revealed that designated identities (IDs) would be created in the coming days for different departments and wings. The software system will allow directors, directors-general, and members to access and view the status of various cases related to their wings. Within the system, a separate dashboard will be formed for the top management.

The dashboard will also show the status of a case and its details, such as stay orders, replies, appeal if required, name of counsel, and other updates regarding the case in various law courts. Additionally, the performance record of all counsels will be available through the said system. The system has a messaging service to intimate the coming dates of case hearings.

The automated system is one of the few efforts directed to achieve better case management along with transparent disposal and well-timed submission of replies. The CDA authority is also providing more incentives to strengthen the Law Wing, in addition to introducing various technological initiatives. Transparency is introduced into the Law Wing of CDA through the hiring of new lawyers and Information Technology (IT) based systems.
