Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to install around 20 new tube wells in various parts of the capital city to improve water supply, according to news published on April 7.

The CDA Water Supply Directorate Spokesperson revealed that the tender issuance process has been completed and the development work on the installation site is in full swing. He informed that the directorate is taking inclusive steps to facilitate citizens and has went as far as to install 15 tube wells last year and fixed dysfunctional machines.
The spokesperson disclosed that tube wells were added to the water system of the Poona Faqiran area in a bid to enhance the water supply in Sectors I-8, I-9 and I-10, while the repair of machines in Sectors F and G is underway to make it operational. He said that CDA has also resolved issues like supply lines’ leakage, which saved over 10 million gallons of water per day and increased water pressure in the city.

Moreover, the spokesperson notified that CDA has allocated sufficient funds to secure an uninterrupted water supply for the citizens.
